Increase Your Native Traffic Volume By Tapping Into Revcontent
August 12, 2019
Great news for Maximus users from our partners over at Revcontent!
Revcontent has spent the last year revamping their platform to better serve advertisers and to implement new features, add new premium publishers and upgrade traffic quality to help improve targeting and performance.
If you have never ran with Revcontent, or have not done so recently, check out the new features below and if you are interested in testing out a campaign, email firstname.lastname@example.org and they will match your deposit dollar for dollar up to $100 for your first campaign.
Bid By Widget
To give advertisers more granular control of their targeting, Revcontent added the ability to adjust CPC bids at the individual widget level through Bid By Widget.
If you notice a specific widget or set of widgets perform better than others, and you want additional inventory, you are now able to adjust the bid amount for those widgets individually, instead of across an entire topic, or brand. Additionally, if you have a widget or set of widgets that don’t perform as well, you can lower the CPC for those widgets to a price-point that keeps you ROI-positive.
Traffic Distribution & Pacing
With new Traffic Distribution & Pacing controls, advertisers’ budgets spend more consistently with a lower risk of running through an entire budget too quickly or on a small selection of widgets. With better distribution, advertisers can test out widgets across the network evenly and assess what performs best. Default distribution stays on until you adjust your widget bid up or down.
Visibility Into Publisher By Widget
Advertisers may notice that widget IDs are mapped to their respective domains to add an extra layer of transparency into the traffic they are buying. Not every widget is tied directly to a specific domain, however. Widgets associated with app or push traffic, for example, may instead display a “domain” that is unique by publisher account.
Segmentation Of Adblock Traffic
Adblock traffic is now segmented out as its own topic, allowing advertisers to block or target this traffic altogether rather than widget-by-widget.
Revcontent declared war on bad traffic. Low-quality publishers? Terminated. Bots? Disabled. Fraud? Booted.
What good is tons of traffic if it doesn’t convert to sales or audience? By introducing new publisher standards, rolling out new technology and implementing new third-party monitoring, we significantly improved the quality of the traffic throughout our network.
In addition, Revcontent added new premium publishers like LA Times, Salon, Everyday Health, Boston.com and TampaBay.com!
Account Level Blacklisting
We discontinued whitelists and transitioned all existing whitelists over to blacklists. All existing whitelists were automatically transformed to blacklists consisting of all active widget IDs NOT included in the original whitelist.
To give you the ability to hit KPIs across all sources, we introduced fractional bidding in 2018. Fractional bidding allows advertisers to bid on traffic down to a tenth of a percent so they can target, get traffic from and make money on placements that they may have otherwise disabled.
Set it and forget it with our new Autoboost campaign type. Using your CPA goal, Revcontent’s Autoboost algorithm automatically targets and adjusts CPCs to maintain a positive ROI. As you serve on our network, our algorithm learns how YOUR content performs and adapts your targeting automatically.
Don’t just take our word for it; test Revcontent out with a new campaign to see for yourself.
